Jean Gennett White, 99, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at her home in Anderson. She was born on June 15, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan to John and Rose (Enyard) Gennett.
She was a graduate of Middletown High School. She was a homemaker and had worked for J.C. Penny for 15 years. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. She also enjoyed to read.
Jean had attended South Anderson United Methodist Church and currently attended Crossroads Methodist Church, where she was actively involved.
She is survived by her children, Connie White, William White, Melanie White, Kathy White, Stephen White, Leslie "Deanie" White and Shelby (Dick) Hendricks, Wesley (Rosemary) White; and a daughter-in-law, Yumi White. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband whom she married on April 18, 1946, Maurice C, "Bill" White on September 11, 2002; a daughter, Jeanie "Missy" Ammlung; and a son, James R. "J.R." White; and a grandson Alex White.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday August 6th at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E 53rd Street Anderson, Indiana 46013, with Pastor Rick Jones and Steve Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the Funeral Home.
