Jay Ralph Presser

Jay Ralph Presser, 45, Lapel, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013. He was born on July 1, 1968, in Anderson, Indiana to F. Dean and Barbara (Herron) Presser. He graduated from Lapel High School in 1986. Jay had been employed at one time at Steak and Shake in Noblesville and also worked as a handyman and construction worker. He is survived by two children, Sabra Gentless of Greenfield, and Summer Presser of Kokomo; one granddaughter Aurora Jayne Gentless; his mother, Barbara Presser of Lapel; one sister, Joanne (husband, Kyle) Trimble of Lapel; one niece, Kylie Trimble; and his girlfriend, Tina Perkins of Greenfield. He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, James Dean Presser. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Sandra Neese Scholarship Fund, 233 South Main Street, Pendleton, Indiana 46064.
