Jason Jimenez, 37, of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at his residence in Anderson. He was born on March 15, 1987 in Los Angeles, California to Edward Orson Jimenez and Cecilia Yolanda (Bentancourt) Jimenez.
He graduated from Anderson High School class of 2006. Jason worked as a correctional officer for the Department of Corrections.
Jason really enjoyed boxing. He was an amazing boxer who won the Golden Gloves award and also went to the Olympic trials for boxing. He served his community faithfully as a firefighter for the City of Elwood and also a police officer for the Town of Edgewood. Jason enjoyed gaming with his family and friends in his free time. He was a very caring person and loved his family deeply.
He is survived by his father; four siblings, Edward (Lucinda) Jimenez, Luis Jimenez, Irene (Ariel) Jimenez, and Lalo Jimenez; six nieces and nephews, Edward, Jacob, Madelyn, Evelyn, Izabella, and Elena. Jason is also survived by his uncle, Hugo Jimenez.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother.
A celebration of Jason's life will take place on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 5:00pm at the Mounds State Park Recreational Building, 4306 Mounds Road, Anderson, Indiana 46017.
