Janetta Jean Rogers

PENDLETON – Janetta “Jean” Birch Rogers, 86, of Pendleton, went to be with her Lord Dec. 29, 2021. She was born Feb. 23, 1935 in Anderson, In, to Thomas D. Birch and Dolores (Watson) Birch.Jean was a 1953 graduate of Markleville High School. She retired from Ft. Benjamin Harrison as a computer programmer. She was a member of New Life Christian Church of Anderson. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose unwavering love and prayers leave a great legacy to all those blessed to have had her in their lives.Jean is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, J.D. and Cheryl (Hood) Rogers; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Bill Clark; three grandsons, Nick (Leigh Ann) Rogers, Rick (Meghan) Rogers and James Clark; two granddaughters, Michelle (Keep) Brigman and Rita Clark; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Brigman, T.J. Brigman, Brinkley Rogers, Hadley Rogers, and Rory Rogers; sister June (Birch) Carper; brother-in-law, Doug (Fran) Rogers; many nephews, nieces and dear friends.She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, James “Jim” Rogers; infant daughter, Susan Rogers; and brothers Thomas E. Birch and Wayne Birch.A family graveside service will be held January 4, 2022 at 10 am at Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton, with Rev. Johnny Cawthon officiating.
