On January 31st, 1954, Janet (Key) Eubanks came into this world, and for 68 years the world was better for it. Janet enjoyed a good book, a cup of coffee on a winter morning, the mountains of Tennessee, and a good story about the old days. She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandma (Mammaw), an aunt and family and friend to many. Janet retired from South Madison Community Schools in 2021 where she loved working as the manager of the cafeteria at East Elementary.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Harmon and Lillian Key and her brother Jerry Key. She is survived by those she loved with all of her heart, husband of 39 years, Michael Eubanks; sister, Joy (Lawrence Sr.) McCowan; daughters, Jami (Rodney) Ballard and Kimberly (Jeremy) Winn, and son, Justin (Kristy) Eubanks. Grandchildren, Elizabeth (Brandon) Hoppes, Brian Ballard, Olivia (Nathan) Gonzales, Gabriel Winn, Austin Eubanks, Lillian Eubanks, Kinslee Eubanks, Kyle Thieman, and Jacob Thieman and many nieces and nephews.
We know that you are dancing in the sky now, but it sure seems empty down here without you. We will miss you with all of our hearts, but we are more than sure that you will stop in from time to time, to let us know, who your favorite was! Love you more (LUM).
Special thanks to Southern Care Hospice and Kelly for being an angel in our corner. Very special thank you to Dr. David Mares and Brandon.
Services will be held privately at Wilson St. Pierre Lahm Chapel, Pendleton. In lieu of flowers she requested that any donations be made to the Madison County Humane Society.
