Janet L. Nugent

Janet L. Nugent, 60, Anderson passed away on September 18, 2017 at her residence. She was born on August 17, 1957 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Janet worked as a Revlon Distributor for ten years before becoming a homemaker. She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1976. She was a member of the Ladies Shrine of Madison County and Indianapolis, the Eastern Star, and Jobs Daughters. She enjoyed cross stitching, baking, camping and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. Janet is survived by her husband, Mark Nugent of Anderson; son, Jason Nugent of Chicago; daughter, Heather (Juan) Vargas of Pendleton; mother, Phyllis Wilson of Anderson; brother Elmer “Gene” Wilson of Anderson; grandchildren, Connor, Dylan, and Annabelle Vargas all of Pendleton.; nephew, Drew Wilson; great niece, Sophia; several nieces, nephews; cousins, and special cousin, Nancy Herald; mother in- law, Judith Nugent; sister and brother in-law, Vicki & Jim Baker; Brother and sister in-law, Mike & Marlene Nugent; aunts, Marguerite Burton, Nancy Ellis; uncles, Bill Winemiller, Don Ellis, and her four legged companion, Jellybean. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Wilson, and father in-law, Larry Nugent. Services will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St. Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
