James William Tom Biggs

James William Tom Biggs, 74, Noblesville, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Parkwood Health Care Center in Lebanon following an extended illness.
He was born on August 24, 1933, in Pennington Gap, Virginia to Joe and Frankie (Johnson) Biggs.
He served in the U. S. Army in the Korean War and then served four years in the U. S. Navy.
Tom retired in 1982 from Firestone Industrial Products in Noblesville after 32 years of employment.
He was a member of the Clarksville Christian Church, Noblesville Masonic Lodge, Wayne-Fall Lions Club, and Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. He enjoyed woodworking and had created many treasured keepsakes for his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Jane (Hiday) Biggs; four children, Judy Biggs of Noblesville, Gary Biggs (fiance, Tonya Stevens) of Noblesville, Terry (wife, Cindy) Biggs of Noblesville and Ivy Smart of Indianapolis; one brother, Bob (wife, Judy) Biggs of Arcadia; seven grandchildren, Danielle Salyers of Noblesville, Lyndsay Kinsey of Indianapolis, Jerry Davis of Noblesville, Chad Davis of Indianapolis, Jessica, Amber and Justin Biggs of Noblesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Vickie Tharp; one granddaughter, Hayley Biggs; and three brothers, Joe Biggs, Jr., Douglas Biggs, and Jimmy Biggs.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Steve Fair officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Clarksville Christian Church, 16600 Lehr Street, Noblesville, Indiana 46060.
