James W. Jim Hall, 81, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville following an extended illness.
He was born on December 16, 1928, in Anderson, Indiana to Alva and Gladys (Bell) Hall.
He graduated from Lapel High School in 1948.
Jim retired from farming and driving a bus for Frankton-Lapel Community School Corporation after driving for over 42 years.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rose Hall; three children Durenda (husband, Marshall) Everitt of Anderson, Rick (wife, Laura) Hall of Lapel, and Lana (husband, Larry) Wallace of Westfield; four grandchildren, Chad (wife, Julie) Everitt, Dennis (wife, Alicia) Everitt, Mandy (husband, Jeremy) Denton, and Ashley Hall; four step-grandchildren, Cassandra, Josh, Brandy, and Ashley Wallace; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Denton, Baylee Everitt, and Brice Everitt; one sister, Phyllis Hersberger of Noblesville; and a step-brother, Gene (wife, LouAnn) Fountain of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, May 21, 2010, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Doug Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
