James “Skip” Lewis Hamilton, Jr., 69, of Anderson passed away on October 31, 2022 at his home. Skip was born on August 26, 1953 in Anderson to the late, James Lewis and Nancy Carole (Maddox) Hamilton. Skip worked for General Motors as a Team Leader for a number of years. He faithfully served his country in the United States National Guard and was honorably discharged. He loved watching IU basketball and his german shepherd, Sammy. Most importantly, he loved his family and made sure to always put them first.
Skip will be dearly missed by his wife, Deborah Kim (Gillespie) Hamilton; son, Skip Travis (Stephanie) Hamilton; daughters, Barbie Carole (Brad) Wyman and Jamie Lynn (Warren) Lamp; grandchildren, Jailyn, Dailyn, Mason, Owen, Bee, and Gabriel; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Maddox, Julianna, Hudson, Fred, and Jameson; his brothers, Randy Hamilton, Kent Hamilton, Troy Hamilton, and Pat Dailey; and sister, Tracy Hamilton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nancy.
The visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
