James R. Clark, 77, Arab, Alabama, formerly of Lapel, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019, at his home following a sudden illness.He was born on September 28, 1942, in Kansas to Claude L. Clark and Eva Marie (Edmundson) Clark.James graduated from Lapel High School in 1960.He retired in 2005 from Modern Vending in Indianapolis.James served his country in the United States Navy and Army. He was a member of the Lapel and Noblesville American Legions. James enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. He is survived by his children, Kristine Schloffel, John Clark, Amanda Goff, and Melissa Clark; 10 grandchildren; 3 nieces, Lisa Scherer, Amanda King and Claudia Croston. James was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Scotty Clark .A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Brookside Cemetery, 2900 Brookside Road, Lapel, Indiana with the Lapel and Noblesville American Legions conducting military rites. Burial of cremated remains will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
