James P. Burke Jr

James P. Burke, Jr, 68, of Anderson, died Tuesday October 27, 2020 following a sudden illness. He was born August 9, 1952, in Anderson, the son of the late James P. and Patricia A. (Spangler) Burke, Sr. He served in the US Navy. He worked as a driver for FedEx and UPS among other companies. He was a member of American Legion Post 127. James is survived by his sisters, Rebecca (Robert, Jr) Reardon of Indianapolis, and Patricia (Thomas) Rector of Anderson; nieces, Andi (Ryan) McPeak of Senoia, Georgia, Kristin (Allison Cauley) Rector of Pendleton, and Kayla (Janna Carey) Rector of Noblesville; nephews, Robert (Ashlee) Reardon, III of Indianapolis, and Joseph (Steven) Smith of Westfield; 9 great-nieces and great-nephews; and his beloved four-legged companion, Ruby. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his nephew, Tommy Rector. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 16 at East Maplewood Cemetery with military honors.
