James Moore Jr.

James Moore Jr, 91, of Anderson, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Sugar Fork Crossing, in Anderson. Jim was born on October 8, 1932,, in Anderson, Indiana, to James Moore Sr. and Helen Terrell.

Jim graduated from Anderson High School in 1951. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1985.

Jim was the oldest living past Master of Fellowship Masonic Lodge #681, member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Shrine, and Madison County Shrine Club. He was also a member of the Anderson American Legion Post #127, and Madison County Golf Association.

Jim had a passion for golf and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also loved following the Indiana Hoosiers, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Indiana Pacers.

Jim proudly served his country in the United Sates Air Force in the Korean War.

Jim is survived by his two children, Pam (Kevin) Anderson of Anderson, and Jama (Bob) Jameson of Anderson; a sister, Paula Adams of Elkhart; a brother-In-Law, Larry Broady of Spring Hill, Florida; grandson, Ryan (Marci) Jameson of Tennessee; two great-grandchildren, Makenzi and Cooper Jameson; a special cousin, Frank Burrows; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Pattie Ann "Martin" Moore; his parents; a sister, Nancy Broady; a brother-in-law, Don Adams; and his grandson, Brent Jameson.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Brown Butz Diedring Funeral Home, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday immediately following the visitation at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Inurnment will take place at The Gardens at Willowcrest Park where military rites will be conducted by the United States Air Force, assisted by the Daleville American Legion.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sugar Fork Crossing for their excellent care of Jim.
