James Linden Morrow

James L. Morrow Sr., 87, of Markleville, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2023.  He was born on June 17, 1936, to the late Clyde and Lilly (Hummel) Morrow in Livingston, Tennessee. After moving to Markleville, he attended the Fall Creek School.  Then he married Linda (Shaw) Morrow, and they had four children together.  James worked as a mechanic, bus driver and a semi driver.  James had a talent for building and repairing Model A’s. He was also a member of a Model A car club.  He really enjoyed his horses and mules; he had an eye for the good ones.

James will be sadly missed by his daughter, Marsha Turner of Middletown; son, James (Rose) Morrow Jr. of Markleville; son, Frank (Lilly) Morrow Sr. of Anderson; daughter, Susan (Mark) Pope of Mt. Summit; grandsons, Dylan (Morgan) Pope, Dwight (Linda) Pope, Frankie (Tamara) Morrow Jr., and James (Tiffany) Morrow III; granddaughters, Erica Morrow (Brandon Barnes), Cheyenne Morrow, and Olivia (Michael) Fauss; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his parents; and his brothers, Tony, Charlie, Edward, and Robert Morrow.

Graveside Services will be held at 1p.m. Monday, October 30, 2023, at McCray Cemetery 7300 N. 1000 E. Wilkinson, Indiana.
