James Howard Plummer

James Howard "Jim" Plummer, 74, Pendleton, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a brief illness.
He was born on October 31, 1943, in Anderson to Jesse and Marjorie (Wells) Plummer.
Jim worked for many years at the Virginia Oil Company and recently retired from ITT Technical Institute as a Financial Aid Adviser. He loved going to work every day.
He was an member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Anderson.
Jim is survived by his wife of nine years, Cindy (Milner); two children, Jennifer (Plummer) Hitt and David Plummer both of Lake Mary, FL; two step-children, Adrian Bauer and Nicole Pinkerton; six grandchildren, Austin and Andrew Hitt, Colin and Maiya Bauer, and Caleb and Corbin Pinkerton; one sister, Pam (Mike) Anello; one brother, W. Craig (Sandy) Plummer; and a sister-in-law, Fran Plummer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a cousin, Bill Plummer.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at First Church of the Nazarene, 2324 Jackson Street, Anderson with Rev. Gary Cable officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Brookside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM Tuesday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
