James Hicks

James Joe “Jimmy” Hicks, 49, of Kokomo and formally of Anderson, passed away on September 10, 2014, unexpectedly at his residence.

He was born October 5, 1964, in Anderson, the son of Hershel and Marilyn Hicks and lived most of his life in Anderson.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Hicks of Anderson; his sister, Susan (Marvin) Stanley of Anderson; two nieces, Kristina (Christina Miller) Bargo of Anderson and Erica (Jared) Shaker of Anderson; two great nephews, Jeremiah Shaker and Lucas Lakey; a great niece, Chelsea Shaker; several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friend, Ed Moss of Logansport.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Hicks; and niece, Samantha Bargo.

A visitation to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
