James E. Pittser Jr.

James E. Pittser, Jr., 84, of Anderson died March 17, 2016, at home surrounded by family.

Jim was born October 19, 1931, in Anderson to the late James E. Pittser, Sr. & Eunice (Kessling) Staggs.

Jim retired from Delco Remy after 45 years of service. He enjoyed camping, campfires, watching auto racing and sports. Jim enjoyed music, wintering in Florida, dancing with his wife, and skated until he was 75 years old.

Jim was a lifetime member and held all offices throughout his service with Amvets of Anderson Post 9.

Jim leaves to cherish in his memory, daughters, Melony (husband, Tom) Zimmer of Beavercreek, OH, Teena Pittser of Anderson, and Terri (husband, Kenny) Maupin of Anderson; grandchildren, Christy Zimmer of Columbus, OH, Kim (husband, Chad) Sisk of Climax, NC, Kennette Lusher (Mike Cox) of Anderson, KenLee Maupin (Haliegh Whicker) of Anderson, Kylee Zimmer and Christopher Zimmer both of Beavercreek, OH; great grandchildren, Kierstyn Lusher, Kensey Lusher, Kayla Zimmer, Colten Rodgers, Heather Sisk, and Caden Sisk. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Jacqueline (Jones) Pittser; and sister, Viola Penrod.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gallanosa and staff, Dr. Kabir and staff, Hospice Staff: Pam, Susan, Christy, Rob, and Andrea. Words cannot express our gratitude.

Services will be 2 p.m., Monday, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, officiated by Pastor Ned Clark. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2-5pm Sunday, at the funeral home.
