James E. Phillips, 85, Anderson, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019, at his residence in Anderson following a brief illness.He was born on September 20, 1934, in Franklin, Kentucky to Lloyd Lester Phillips and Alice (Whitson) Phillips .James served his country in the United States Air Force.He retired from Guide Lamp, division of General Motors. He is survived by his children, Pam Foreman of Indianapolis, Karen Collins of Anderson, and Don McMillion of Anderson; three sisters, Helen (John) Marshall of Anderson, Barbara (Dave) Singer of Florida, and Peggy (Jack) Eldridge of Pendleton; four grandchildren, D.J. McMillion, Tiffany Foreman, Bobby Collins, and Eric Foreman; and three great-grandchildren.James was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shelba Phillips; and two brothers, Harold Phillips and Richard Truman.A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Rev. Carl Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.Visitation will be from 11:00AM to 1:00PM on Wednesday at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home.
