James Donald King

James Donald King, 62, Lapel, passed away January 8, 2016, after an extended illness.

He was born January 31, 1953 in New Castle to the late James William & Ola R. (Davis)
King. Donald retired from Crossroad Farms Dairy-Kroger Dairy. He loved camping, working on cars, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Donald is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathy King; children, Scott (wife, Amanda) King and Angi King; sisters, Janette (husband, Jimmy) Linder, Sharon (husband, Carey) Corzine, & Barbara (husband, Paul) Tinch; brother, Gary King; grandchildren, Schuyler Glancy, Kaley King, Shyann (husband, Zachary) Burnett, Chrystal, Amber, & Ryley King; great grandchildren, Lillian & Elizabeth Burnett, and Nicole King; several nieces & nephews; and his four-legged companion, Baxter.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Smoak and brother, Steve M. King.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be at Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton.

Friends may call from 11:00 until time of services at the funeral home.
