On May 30, 2021, Jacquelyne Bronkella, 77, of Anderson passed away in Anderson, Indiana after an extended illness. Jackie, the youngest of six, was born to Dale and Pearl (Shaw) McKeand in Anderson, Indiana on July 9th, 1943. After graduating from Anderson High School in 1961, Jackie worked as an Accounting Professional, Journalist, and Human Resource Manager until retiring in 2006. On December 4th, 1975 she married her devoted husband, James “Jim” Bronkella. During their 46 years together, they dedicated their lives to loving and supporting their family. Jackie had a vibrant and witty personality with a life-long passion for family, traveling, music, and the Indianapolis Colts. She was affectionately adored by many as “Granny Jackie”. She welcomed all with a warm and tender embrace. She is survived by her husband James Bronkella; her children Debra Ponce, Kim Speedy, and Joseph (Collette) Bronkella; her grandchildren Jessica Ponce, Julian Ponce, Cory Speedy, Grace Bronkella, and Libby Bronkella; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents Dale and Pearl McKeand; her siblings Marjorie Melson, Elizabeth Reason, William McKeand, Susie Miller, and Patrick McKeand. A funeral service to honor Jackie’s life will be held at Brown Butz and Diedring Funeral home on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Revered David Hellmann officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
