Jacob Samuel VanHook, 35, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at his residence in Anderson.He was born on December 3, 1984, in Lebanon, Indiana to Jeffrey VanHook and Maggie (Peek) VanHook.Jacob enjoyed his 16 years in Montana; he was a cowboy at heart and loved the rodeo. He was self-employed as an Entrepreneur and loved mechanics. Jacob loved to fix or build anything. He is survived by his wife Sarah VanHook of Anderson; parents; mother-in law, Robin Durham of Anderson; children, Eli VanHook (mother Jeni) of Shepherd, Montana; Michelle Follmar, Larrissa Follmar, Lyla VanHook, and Charlie VanHook all of Anderson; one brother, Jesse VanHook of North Dakota; three sisters, Jennifer Bilbrey, Stephanie Closser and Kim (Bill) Montgomery of Anderson; step-siblings, Brandon, Austin, Justin, and Ben Foxworthy, and Holly and Grace Foxworthy. He was also survived by his step-mother, Tracy VanHook and a brother and sister in law, Christopher (Kayla) Durham, and Amber Durham. Jacob was also survived by a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and friends, especially cousin Troy VanHook , and friend, Kyle Dawson. Jacob was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sue Box; great-grandfather, Marvin VanHook, and his father- in law, Richard Durham.A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Rev. Richard Cole officiating.
