Jack Lee Bonge, 90, of Anderson passed away at his home on March 24, 2021. He was born in Anderson, the second son of Carl M. and Hortense (Greer) Bonge. Jack was a 1947 graduate of Anderson High School. He attended Indiana University prior to his four years of service in the United States Air Force. While serving in England, Jack married Nancy Hartman. After his military service, Jack graduated from Ball State University. He worked for Owens Illinois in Muncie, as well as, Frank Foundry for twenty-five years and the Broderick Company. He was a life member of the Elks, American Legion, National Rifle Association and the Muncie Masonic Lodge No. 433, F & A.M. Jack also loved the outdoors with years of hunting and fishing. Jack is survived by his three children: Deborah (Danny Felton) Bonge, Dawn (Donald) Powell and Michael (Sherry) Bonge; five grandchildren: Johnny (Nathalia) Tremaine, Gary (Angie) Bonge, Dustin (Cortney) Felton, Shanon Bonge and Michele Swallows; six great grandchildren: James Peters, Prestyn Peters, Bryleigh Felton, Braydin Felton, Paris Swallows, III and Kaydence Swallows. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Nancy, his parents, brother, James R. Bonge and grandson, Derek Felton. A service to honor Jack’s life will be at 7:00 PM on March 30, 2021 at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Corinne Boruff officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
