Jack A. Walters, 89, of Anderson, was glad to meet the Lord and find his mansion ready on June 17, 2015.
He was born in Anderson on December 18, 1925 to the late Albert “Bert” and Catherine (Rector) Walters.
Jack married Betty Walters on July 17, 1972. He retired as a foreman from the Anderson Water Department after 45 years of service. Jack was a great witness for the Lord. He gave the plan of salvation to many people and saw many of them saved. He enjoyed traveling, church activities, working in the yard, basketball, football and family activities with his children and grandchildren.
Jack is survived by his children, Judy (John) Hill of Anderson and Janet Salter of Indianapolis; grandsons, Jason (Missy) Bell and his father Jimmy Bell of Pendleton, Sean Salter and Nick Salter both of Michigan; great-granddaughter, Ella Grace Bell, step-great-grandsons J.T. and Quinton Alverson; sisters, Mary Yost and Jeanie (Ross) Becker; and sister-in-law, Katie Knoblock.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Allene Walters; second wife Betty Walters; brothers, Francis Walters, Lawrence Walters and Raymond Walters; and sister, Alice Richardson.
Services will be at 11:30am Saturday at the chapel at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Dave Warren officiating. Entombment will follow.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory were entrusted with arrangements.
