Iva June Rardin Alley

Iva June Alley, age 83, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at her residence. She was born June 27, 1936 in Rush County, the daughter of the late Oliver “Ollie” and Viola (Goodpastor) Rardin. In her younger years she loved flower gardening and sewing, making pillows and bedding for her home. She took her skills at sewing into the workplace, working as a seamstress for 35 years at the Anderson Mattress Company. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Iva’s greatest joy was her family. Iva is survived by her children, Tracy Alley Morales, Beth Alley Townsend and Mark Alley; six grandchildren, Jason, Nathan, Janay, Michael, Angelia and Makayla; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Pamela Sue Alley; three sisters; and three brothers. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Inurnment will be in Layton Cemetery, Rush County at a later date. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
