Iva I. Taylor

Iva Taylor, 90, of Anderson passed away peacefully on May 1, 2023 at her home.  Iva was born on January 28, 1933 in Burnt Prairie, IL to the late Benjamin and Minnie (Harl) Smothers.  Iva was married to the love of her life the late Bill G. Taylor for 70 years.  Iva was a phlebotomist at St. John’s Hospital.  Iva enjoyed reading, quilting, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Iva is survived by her grandson, Michael (Kathryn) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Drew, Luke, and Nora Taylor; and several nieces and nephews,

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Taylor; her parents; son, Steven Taylor; brothers, Earl and Owen Smothers; sisters, Ruth Harris, Elsie Dickey, Hazel Stanley, and Freda Summitt.

The visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53^rd St., Anderson, IN, 46013.  The funeral ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to Riley Children’s Hospital.
