Irene I. Beemish

Irene I. Bemish, 98, Anderson, passed away Friday, September 17, 2004, at Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on May 10, 1906, in Dunkirk, Indiana to Lionel and Zelumia (Neighbors) Shouse. She was a member of the South Anderson United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Donald Bemish of Anderson; eleven grandchildren, Mike Summers, Kathy McDermott, Kenneth Summers, Monty Summers, Ted Summers, Steve Bemish, Sharon Perkins, Susan Ramsey, Terri Nolan, Jeannie Chapple, and John D. Bemish; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and twenty-five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Bemish in 1975; a son, Paul Bemish, Jr. in 1996; a daughter, Joan Burress in 2000; and two grandchildren, Dennis Bemish and Susie Halsell. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. John Hackney officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
