Ira M. Nunley

Ira M. Nunley, 92, Pendleton, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Rawlins House in Pendleton following a brief illness.
He was born on July 13, 1911, in Kennit, AR to Frank and Dolly (Walker) Nunley. He retired in 1975 from Guide Lamp after 25 years of employment and was a member of the Columbus Avenue Church of Christ. He is survived by four children, Ron (wife, Joyce) Nunley of Lapel, Darlene (husband, Herbert) Likens of Anderson, Gary (wife, Marta) Nunley, and Terry (wife, Deborah) Nunley both of Pendleton; nine grandchildren, Chris Nunley of Crown Point, Chad Nunley of Martinsville, Wesley Likens of Frankton, Matthew Likens, Addison Nunley, Brennan Nunley, Heidi Moore, Trent Miller, and Tessa Nunley all of Pendleton; eleven great-grandchildren, Sarah, Allison, Hannah, Meredith, Seth, and Rachel Nunley, Taylor, Shelby, Madison, Adam, and Joshua Likens. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosemary (Lambert) Nunley in 1986; two brothers; and four sisters. Services will be held at 12:00 PM Monday at Columbus Avenue Church of Christ in Anderson with Rev. Charlie Soden officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday at the Columbus Avenue Church of Christ in Anderson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rawlins House or the charity of the donor's choice.
