Imogene Kellams, 87, Lapel, passed away Friday, August 12, 2005, at Rawlins House in Pendleton.
She was born on January 24, 1918, in Lapel, Indiana to John and Rilda (Elkins) Patrick. She was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church, the Lapel American Legion Auxillary, the Lapel Golden Glows and the Y's Owls. She is survived by five children, Sondra (husband, James) Knotts of Lapel, Nora (husband, James) Boyll of Lapel, Thomas Ray (wife, LeAnn) Kellams of Middletown, Pam Sheller of Anderson, and Jimmy Kellams of Lapel; two brothers, James (wife, Molly Belle) Patrick of Fortville, and John (wife, Eula) Patrick of Arizona; two sisters,Margaret "Pat" Hunt of Fortville, and Barbara (husband, Dale) Brinker of Lapel; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Kellams in 1985; and two sisters, Willadean Brown and Virginia Witt. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Richard Cole officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery in Lapel Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lapel American Legion Post 212 or the American Cancer Society.
