I Joan Troutman

Joan Troutman, 79, Lapel, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2007, at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born on August 7, 1928, in Anderson, Indiana to Floyd and Olga (Rich) Anderson.
Joan was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lapel Rural Garden Club, Lida Teters Circle, and she served on the board of directors for the Brookside Cemetery Association for many years.
She is survived by her husband, James L. Troutman; three children, Deborah Sharpe of Lapel, Terri (husband, Jim) Sexton of Lapel and Doug (wife, Melissa) Troutman of Anderson; one sister, Wilma Jean (husband, John) Vanderkaay of Orlando, FL; ten grandchildren, Tamara (husband, Darrell) Richardson of Lapel, LeeAnn (husband, Scott) Heinlein of Mont Vernon, NH, Bryan Sharpe of Lapel, Andrea Sharpe of Lapel, Stacy (husband, Sterling) Boles of Cicero, Stephanie Wright of Lapel, Bailey Troutman of Anderson, Brooke Troutman of Anderson, Brynna Troutman of Anderson, and Brock Troutman of Anderson; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brooks, Conner, Mitchell, Jon Ross, Luke, Makia, Alex, Mackenzie; and a special friend, Rachel Princell of Lapel.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
