Howard L. Claywell

Howard L. Claywell, 77, Anderson, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008, at his residence following a one year illness.
He was born on April 10, 1931, in Burkesville, Kentucky to John and Lillie Pearl (Page) Claywell.
He was U. S. Marine veteran of the Korean War.
Howard retired in 1985 from the former Firestone Industrial Products in Noblesville.
He was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Noblesville
He is survived by his wife, Virginia L. (White) Claywell; six children, Nancy Michalowski of San Antonio, TX, Jeff (wife, Cathy) Claywell of Losantville, Brian Luttrell of Lapel, Marci (husband, Michael) Harlson of Noblesville, Dorene Redd (fiance, Kevin Williams) of Lapel, Bob (wife, Rebecca) Alsup of Hawaii; three sisters, Iralee Thomas of New Castle, Nell (husband, Bob) Smoot of Louisville, KY, and Geneva (husband, Ed) Keith of Port Arthur, TX; one brother, Walter (wife, Janette) Claywell of Dayton, OH; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in rural Noblesville with Pastor Mark Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
