Herbert Schneider, 59, Noblesville, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at his home in following a sudden illness.
He was born on December 20, 1950, in Richmond, Indiana to Wilford and Deloris (Kennedy) Schneider.
He graduated from Yorktown High School in 1970 and served in the U. S. Army.
Herb retired from the former Guide Corporation Division of General Motors in Anderson after 30 years of employment.
He was an avid Allis Chalmers collector and dealer; was a member of the Mid-America Threshing and Antique Club; the Tri-State Gas and Engine Club; the Indiana AC Partners; the U. A. W. Local 663; and the Lapel Eagles Aerie 4313.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susie (Shuck) Schneider; two children, Cory (wife, Melissa) Schneider of Summitville, and Lindsay (husband, Nick) Pisano of Noblesville; four grandchildren, Kinsie Schneider, Abbie Pisano, Vinnie Pisano, and Broc Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 17, 2010, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Bret Busby officiating.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Sunday, October 17, 2010, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
Friends are invited to Herbs home after the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
