Helen M. Snyder, 91, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Fall Creek Retirement Village in Pendleton.She was born on February 13, 1928, in Marshalltown, Iowa to Walter and Ruby (Nichol) Fleming.Helen was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church, the Helping Hands, the Lapel Rural Garden Club, and had served as a Cub Scout Leader, a softball coach and a Jobs Daughters mom. She loved to cook, bake and tend her garden and flowers.She is survived by three children, Joy Hough, Don (Kelly) Snyder, and Nancy (Gary) Coomer; four grandchildren, Chris (Tracy) Snyder, Brittany Snyder, Cameron (Marci) Coomer, and Clay (Nickie) Coomer; eight great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Linda Snyder; and several nieces and nephews.Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Myron; one son, Jeff; two sisters and a brother.A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 1, 2019, at Ford Street United Methodist Church, 925 Ford Street, Lapel with Pastor Glenn Knepp officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.Memorial contributions may be made to Ford Street United Methodist Church, P. O.
