Helen L. Michael

Helen L. Michael, 81, Anderson, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013, at her son's home following a four-year battle with dementia. She was born on July 14, 1932, in Anderson, Indiana to William and Ida (Kessler) Stanley. Helen was a member of the Frankton American Legion Ladies Auxillary. She is survived by four children, Bruce (wife, Debbie) Michael and Merrill (wife, Angela) Michael both of Anderson, Lucinda (husband, Carson) Humes of Frankton and Norman Keller of Anderson, nine grandchildren, Nathan, Travis, Daniel, Angel, Terry, Jesse, Amber, Victoria, and Chase; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Freida Rivers of Kokomo and Florence Keller of Anderson; one brother, Frank Stanley of Ingalls; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Daniel Michael; five brothers and sisters, Bill, Omar, Don, and Raymond Stanley and Mary Adams. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Virgil Dewayne Murray officiating. Burial will follow in Perkinsville Cemetery, Anderson. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, August 5, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
