Helen B. Jones

Helen (Bannon) Jones, 85, of Pendleton, passed away November 29, 2016 at the Rawlins House in Pendleton.She was born January 10, 1931 in Boone County, Indiana to the late Claude and Opal (Smith) Bannon and was a Pendleton resident for 40 years.Helen retired from Western Electric Company, Indianapolis in 1978 after 28 years of service.She was a member of Anderson Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and 50 year member of the Noblesville Moose Lodge. She enjoyed bingo, the seniors dance every Sunday night, sewing and making doll clothes and going to the casino.Survivors include sons, Jon A. (wife, Julie A.) Jackson of Pendleton and Stephen L. (wife, Cindy) Jackson of Stanton, Kentucky; siblings, Danny Bannon of New Port Richey, Florida. and Arlene King of Jacksonville, Florida.; nine grandchildren, Stephen Chad Jackson, Shandra Jo Roach, Samuel M. Jackson, Daniel Jackson, Christopher Jackson, Rhonda Roberts, Tammy Roberts, Carlee Robins and Clint Jackson; and several great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Worlie Jones; and siblings, Wayne, Gene and Mary Bannon. Services 2 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Pastor Jay Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Lawn Cemetery near Fortville, Indiana.Visitation from 12 to 2 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Lahm Chapel.
