Harriett M. Spearman

Harriett M. "Hersberger" Spearman, 88, of Anderson, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Primrose Assisted Living Facility in Anderson following an extended illness.She was born on October 12, 1932, in Lapel, Indiana to Aris Dale Hersberger and Sharley A.(Stottlemyer) Hersberger . She grew up with 6 siblings who have all preceded her in death: Vivian, Virginia, Keith, Kenny, Dale JR, and Jean.Harriett graduated from Lapel High School in 1950. She furthered her education by obtaining a BS and MA degree in Education from Ball State University.Harriett worked many years at Emge, WHUT-WLHN and retired from the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce.Harriett served on many boards including the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, Toys for Tots and Anderson Board of Realtors. She was also the social director on her street!Harriett enjoyed spending time with family, friends and traveling.She is survived by her son, Ted (Karen) Spearman of Fishers and her 2 grandsons Ethan and Eli.Harriett was preceded in death by her husbands Bill Spearman and Roy Moore.A Private Graveside Service will be held at Brookside Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.Online condolences: www.hersbergerbozell.com
