Harriett Lavonne Turner

Harriett Lavonne Turner, 85, of Lapel, peacefully passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family following an extended illness.She was born November 1, 1935, in Noblesville to Paul Sheller and Arna (Hersberger) Sheller.Harriett graduated from Lapel High School in 1953.She was employed at American National Bank as a Teller in 1971. She was promoted several times and retired as the Branch Manager of Key Bank in Noblesville.Harriett was a dedicated member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel. Harriett enjoyed her time sharing her faith as an Emmaus Leader. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.She is survived by her children, Cindy (Mike) Graham of Indianapolis, Renee (Kevin) Brattain of Lapel, Penny (Rex) Holt of Stillwater, OK, and Robert Turner of Lapel; brother George (Wanda) Sheller of Tipton; grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Andryuk of Lapel, Bayley and Hannah Holt of Stillwater, OK; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Ellianna Andryuk, and Keen Holt. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a special group of friends, Doris Barker, Sue Haines, Myrna Sauer, and Barbara Stevenson.Harriett was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Turner; infant son, Bruce Turner; brother, Russell Sheller; and two sisters, Rose McDonald, and Marjorie Carey; and many nieces and nephews.A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Rev. Glenn Knepp officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home on Wednesday.Memorial contributions may be made to Ford St. United Methodist Church.Online condolences: www.hersbergerbozell.com
