Harold N. Forrer

Harold N. Forrer, 96, Lapel, passed away Monday, August 4, 2008, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following a brief illness.
He was born on December 21, 1911, in Rockford, Illinois to Christian and Lula Forrer.
Harold retired in 1973 from the former Brockway Glass.
He is survived by two sons, Merritt "Toot" Forrer of Lapel, and Larry "Butch" Forrer of Chicago; four daughters, Shirley (husband, Tony) Buffone of Pendleton, Joan (husband, Eddie) Fisher of Frankton, Rita Williams of Frankton, and Carolyn Wix of Tullahoma, TN; one sister, Virginia Bever of Carmel; 29 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elaine F. (Edwards) Forrer; a daughter, Brenda Welch; a son, Donald Forrer; and a grandson, Grant Kepner.
Graveside service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, August 9, 2008, at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel with Rev. Neal Brown officiating.
There will be no visitation.
