Harold J. Cowboy Denham

Harold J. "Cowboy" Denham, 74, Noblesville, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2006, at the Transitional Care Unit of Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness.
He was born on August 28, 1932, in Bowling Green, Kentucky to Louis and Irene (Johnson) Denham. Cowboy retired in 1987 from Owens Brockway Glass in Lapel after 36 years of employment.
He was a member of the Indiana Friends of Bluegrass and was the leader of the Denham Brother's Bluegrass Band.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Cecil) Denham; eight children, Steven (wife, Vickie) Denham of Anderson, Jackie Denham of Cicero, Lynnetta Lawson of Indianapolis, Charles (fiance, Sherry Rushton) Denham of Cicero, Robert (wife, Carol) Gentry of Noblesville, Ronald (wife, Judy) Gentry of Cloverdale, Sandra Kay Gentry of Noblesville, and Pamela Hobbs of Noblesville; six brothers and sisters, Edna Mae Smith of Amstead, NC, Earlene Copas of Tipton, Charles (wife, Becky) Denham of Tipton, Leonard Denham of Poland, Ray (wife, Georgia) Denham of Atlanta, and Ernie Denham of Atlanta; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clyde Denham; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Hastings.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Dillard Cole officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
