Harlan “Hg” Oliver

February 5, 1956 — December 6, 2021

Harlan “HG” Oliver, 65, of Indianapolis passed away after an extended illness on December 6, 2021. He was born on February 5, 1956 in Scottsburg, IN to Luther and Beatrice (Morris) Oliver. HG worked for Republic Trash Service for over 20 years as a truck driver and delivery driver. Harlan was a huge Ohio State, Dallas Cowboys, Boston Celtics, and Cincinnati Reds fan. You couldn’t find a bigger fan than him. He enjoyed watching Western and Hallmark movies. Harlan was well known for his corny, dad jokes. He enjoyed listening to the Beatles and would listen to them on repeat. He would get together with his siblings once a month and have dinner, he looked forward to that every month. Most importantly, Harlan loved his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored. HG will be dearly missed by his children, Brandon (Libby) Oliver, Keith (Jillian) Oliver, Holly (Chris) McHugh, Shannon (Ronnie) Wiggins, and Adriane (Bruno) Fansi; his grandchildren, Brooklynn Wise, Sophia Oliver, Caden Oliver, and Ava McHugh; his siblings, Mary Pauline, Agnes, Luther, David, Johnny, Robert, Michael, and Joe; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Oliver, Sr.; his mother and stepfather, Beatrice and William “Melvin” Martin; and his grandbaby, Coleman Wiggins. The visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Christ Fellowship Church, 4833 IN-109, Knightstown, IN 46148. The funeral ceremony will be at 10 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2021 at Christ Fellowship Church.
