Hade Smith

Hade Smith, 77, of Daleville, passed away Oct 15, 2018 at Community Northview Care Center. Hade was born March 6, 1941, in Timothy, TN, the son of Grady and Opal Irene (Nivens) Smith. On May 18, 1974 he married Gay Ann Helton in Anderson. He was the owner/operator of Smith’s Trim Shop in Anderson for over 50 years. He was a member of Anderson Lodge 150 of the Loyal Order of Moose. He also served in the Army National Guard. Hade is survived by his wife, Gay Smith of Daleville; children, Bill Smith of Alexandria, Jenny (Tony) Bargo of Avon, Jeff Graham of Daleville and Julie Graham of Versailles; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby (Pat) Smith and Hugh “Blaine” (Judy) Smith, all of Chesterfield; sister, Mildred (Kent) Tuterow of Pigeon Forge, TN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; uncles, John and Harvey Nivens; and aunt, Glorice Nivens. Funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staffs at Community Northview Care Center and Great Lakes Hospice.
