H G Thompson

H G Thompson, 88, of Pendleton, passed away August 26, 2024, at his residence in Pendleton following an extended illness. 

He was born on May 6, 1936 in Westmoreland, Tennessee to Hardy Roark Thompson and Edith Garlon Thompson. 

H G grew up in a farming family in Tennessee. He loved being on the farm and spending time outside. When H G and Patti got married he taught Patti how to farm, garden and canning which he absolutely loved. H G was a tri-axle driver for many years. He belonged to the Teamsters 716 Union. H G later retired and finished his career with Calumet Paving. After retirement and throughout his life H G enjoyed fishing, horse racing, and bowling.

He is survived by his spouse, Mary "Patty" Thompson; Five children, Linda Schenck, Janet Parmenter, Terri Kelly, Glenn Thompson, and Keith Thompson; several grandchildren whom he loved dearly, and several nieces and nephews.

H G is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Agnes Henson and Chris Henson.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
