Grace Marie Beckett

Grace Marie "Gracie" Beckett, 68, Anderson, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following an extended illness. She was born on November 9, 1946, in Crossville, Tennessee to Ricie and Reesie Boles. Gracie retired from the former Saint John's Health Center in Anderson where she had worked for over 20 years as a CNA. She is survived by five children, Anna (husband, Kevin) Short of Lapel, Donnovan (wife, Tina) Beckett, Cheryl Beckett, Charles Beckett, and Tonya (husband, Anthony) Garza all of Anderson; and seven grandchildren, Aleia and Josiah Short, Hailey and Payton Beckett, Clara Garza, Leona Beckett, and Tessa Woods. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Thomas Beckett; and a sister Ora Brady. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Helm officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
