Glenda F. Oakley, 70, of Anderson, passed away January 19, 2016 at St Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.

Glenda was born June 24, 1945 in Jonesboro Ark, the daughter of the late John and Faye (Payton) Nelson and has lived in Anderson since 1962.

Glenda’s life revolved around her family. She delighted being with, and being generous, to her grandkids, her children and friends. She enjoyed traveling and cooking.

She is survived by her children, Tracie (Archie) Ganno of Louisiana, Krista (Donnie) Julian of Anderson, and Todd (Cindi) Oakley of Anderson; seven grandchildren, Shelbi, Lantz, Kassidy, Erin, Lily, Sophia and Jack; one great grandson, Kyder; sisters, Vickie (Dave) Schlabach, Peggy (O’Neal) Sneed, Karla Friend, Angela (Brad) Lohman and Tonya (Chris) Dockter; and her best friend, Jon Schlabach.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Officiated by Pastor Tom Malbone.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
