Gladys Craig

Gladys Craig, 90, of Anderson peacefully passed away on Christmas, December 25, 2024, at Bethany Pointe. A lifelong resident of Anderson, she was born on February 8, 1934, to the late Garney and Lauvon (Hudson) Rigdon. Gladys was a devoted employee at Kroger where she was a cashier for over 40 years. 

Gladys will be dearly missed by her son, Scott (Mary Beth) Craig; grandchildren, Scott (Brittney) Craig, Jr. and Samantha (Bray) Dunaway; six great-grandchildren Emilyn, Colson and Corbin Craig and Rowan, Sloane and Walker Dunaway; nieces, Denice Beal, Tonya (Jim) Carriger, and their father Robert Beal; and nieces Vicky Good, Tammy Metzung, Shelly Rigdon; and nephew, Phillip Rigdon. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Marie Beal, Gilbert Rigdon, Alfred Rigdon, and Robert Rigdon. 

The family sends a heartfelt thank-you to the wonderful staff at Bethany Pointe (with special and grateful thanks to Amber) and Paradigm Hospice for their support and care during her final journey here on earth. 

Cremation rites have been accorded. A burial at East Maplewood Cemetery will take place at a later date. Gladys' services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
