Geroge M. Lewis

George M. Lewis, 76, Lapel, passed away Tuesday April 4, 2006 at his residence.
He was born on January 29, 1930 in Lapel, Indiana son of Homer and Merle (Sinders) Lewis. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired after 30 years as a machinist from Firestone in Noblesville and was also an avid Golfer. He is survived by three sisters and a one brother, Mary Camp of Noblesville, Ivan Pete (wife, Bernardine) Lewis of Anderson, Betty (husband, Ray) Schenk of Middletown, Phyllis Roudebush of Noblesviile, and preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Doggie" Lewis.
Friends may call from 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM Saturday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Graveside service will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel with Rev. Kevin Plew officiating. The family request that memorial contributions be given to American Lung Association.
