Gerald “Peanut” Hise, 84, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016.
He was born July 14, 1931, in Decatur, IL to the late Arthur & Gladys (Anderson) Hise.
Gerald was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Korean War. He retired from General Motors and then worked at Wal-Mart. He had been a very active member of First Baptist Church, Meadowbrook Little League, and with the Cub/Boy Scouts.
Gerald is survived by his sons, Gregory (wife, Tammy) Hise of Flower Mound, TX, Daniel (wife, Vicki) Hise of Noblesville, Brian (wife, Jeri) Hise of Brownsburg, David (wife, Tara) Hise of Anderson, and Rodney (wife, Nicholle) Hise of Noblesville; grandchildren, Zachary, Chelsea, Taylor, Tony, Andrea, Nicholas, Justin, Brooke, Bryce, Connor, Natalea, & Delaney; great grandchildren, Hailey, Cooper, Leighton, & Jackson; sister, Joyce Brundage; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Janell Hise; twin brother, Harold; sister, Patsy; and an infant sister.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, officiated by Rev. Dr. Art Jaggard. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Humane Society.
