Georgia Demos, 92, of Anderson, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at her residence.
She was born October 5, 1923 in Elwood to the late George and Amalia (Xentares) Demos. She graduated from Elwood High School and lived in Anderson most of her life. She retired from Anderson City Utilities.
Georgia was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Carmel and was a life long member of the Daughters of Penelope Nausicaa Chapter # 7.
She is survived by her sister in law, Estrine Demos of Indianapolis and thirteen loving nieces and nephews who knew her as AG, which include, Nicholas (Susy) Vrouvas, Melanie (George) Keris, George Demos, Greg (Sharon) Demos, Conrad (Janet) Demos, Tina Demos, Anthony (Chris) Demos, Eddie (Sher) Demos, Nicholas (Maria) Demos, Terri Demos (Eric Schwartzkopf), Sheila (John) Munchel, Lacinda (Kevin) Rushton and Jeffery Demos; several loving great nieces and nephews and several great great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amalia and George Demos; sister, Angeline (Peter) Vrouvas; brothers, Theodore (Constance) Demos, Gus (Rosie) Demos, Leo Demos and Jim (Carolyn) Demos.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedrng Funeral Service & Crematory with Fr. William J. Bartz officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
