Genevieve Jenny Gilbert

Genevieve “Jenny” Christine Gilbert, 94, of Anderson, passed away on January 3, 2021 at Providence Health Facility. She was born on March 27, 1926 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania to the late William and Paula (Dott) Peck. Jenny was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Cabane 510 of the Le-Fems and the Ladies Auxiliary 127. Jenny never met a stranger and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Larry (Glendia) Gilbert of Markleville, Mike (Diane) Gilbert of Anderson, Joseph (Rita) Gilbert of Sandwich, Illinois, James (Elaine) Gilbert of York Springs, Pennsylvania, Steven (Mary Ann) Gilbert of Lexington, South Carolina, Andrew (Lorna) Gilbert of Wellston, Michigan; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three sisters; one brother and several nieces and nephews. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Gilbert and three siblings. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Anderson, with burial at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association. Due to recent COVID-19 mandates, all guests are required to wear face coverings or masks and practice social distancing at visitation and services.
