Gene Waltermire

Gene Waltermire, 81, of Anderson, IN, passed away on June 29, 2022 at Bethany Pointe Health Care.  He was born on July 27, 1940 in Anderson to the late Earl and Annabelle (Clifford) Waltermire.

Gene was a worker at Delco Remy in his life.  In his spare time, he loved to go hunting and fishing.  Gene was an avid fan of John Wayne and would love to tell stories to his family.

Gene is survived by his son, Tim (Michelle) Waltermire; his brothers, Don Waltermire, Jim Waltermire, Larry Waltermire, and Jerry Waltermire; his grandchildren, Audrey (Jeff) Fischer, Bryan (Amy) Waltermire, Abbie Waltermire, Jake Waltermire, Jessi (Nathan) Waltermire, and Jared Waltermire; his great-grandchildren, Ava, Cooper, Alyvia, Oliver, and Chloe.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandra Kay Waltermire, his brother, Butch Waltermire; his sisters, Joyce Trennepol and Joanne Waltermire.

Services will be held on Tuesday July 5, 2022 at 1 p.m.  at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, Indiana 46013 with burial at K of P IOOF Cemetery in Frankton.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 5, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial Contributions may be made out to the Alzheimer’s Association and American Cancer Society.
