Gene W. Morgan

Gene W. Morgan, 90, of Anderson, passed away June 22, 2019, at Community Hospital. Gene was born September 4, 1928, in Terre Haute, to the late Thomas and Sylvia Morgan. Gene was employed at Warner Gear for over 48 years and retired in 1997. He also owned and operated the Stables Night Club. He had been a member of Eagles #174, Moose Lodge #150, Elks #209 and the U.A.W-C.I.O. Local 287. He is survived by his children, Karen (Marvin) Treutel, Belinda (Bob) Burke, Ellen (Jeff) Pierce, Julie (James) Johnson and Sid (Polly) Castor; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his wife Mary Morgan, a brother; Richard Morgan; and a sister, Rosemary Wihebrink. Services will be 11a.m Thursday at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Ned Clark officiating. Entombment will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
