Gary Brent Stinson

Gary Brent Stinson, 71, of Anderson, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024.

He was born on September 16, 1952, in Windfall, Indiana to Keith Leroy and Leatrice Leona (Foland) Stinson. He grew up on the Stinson farm and lived there his entire life. He was the oldest living Stinson.

He was a 1970 graduate of Lapel High School. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of employment. He had also worked at Conner Prairie, a bus driver for Lapel Schools, and at Lapel Grain Bin. 

He was an avid golfer, playing on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday leagues. He always fixed everything and was always willing to help. He enjoyed doing puzzles. He loved traveling and vacationing with his family.

Gary is survived by his wife, Teresa (Beach) Stinson; a son, Jeramey Stinson; a daughter, Christie (husband, Brady) Jernigan; three grandchildren, Myah Stinson, Grissom Jernigan, Andrew Stinson; two sisters, Belinda Gillaspy and Cheryl (husband, Tim) Ferguson; a mother-in-law, Jeannine Beach; a brother-in-law, Brent (wife, Dee) Beach; and two sisters-in-law, Becky Beach and Lisa Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Kenneth Beach; and two brothers-in-law, David Gillaspy and Michael Mitchel. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Aaron Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel. 

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 30, 2024, and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
